Chiropractic care is like building a house.

There are phases of building that need to happen in particular order for the house to stand strong and work together correctly. If you try to stand the walls before building a solid foundation, your walls will be weak and, eventually, may even collapse. If you try to set the roof before the walls are ready, you'll run into the same problem.

These concepts apply to your body as well. chiropractic care addresses many common reasons why people experience pain and other health issues. If something is not right with your body's foundation, then it needs to be addressed before true health can be achieved. With chiropractic care, your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully.


The 3 phases of chiropractic care

 
 

PHASE 1: INITIAL INTENSIVE CARE

If you are dealing with health issues when you come into our Frankfort office, our first objective is to help you realize where the problems stem from and start correcting them. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition(s), it is typical for a practice member to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-3 times per week for 4-12 weeks.

 

Phase 2: Corrective/Reconstructive Care

During the corrective phase of chiropractic care, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury and restores health. The goal of corrective or reconstructive chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to 100% function. It is typical to need chiropractic care or adjustments about 4-8 times per month for 3-24 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your subluxations.

 

Phase 3: Wellness care

Once your body and nervous system have fully healed and are functioning at an optimal level, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid future problems. Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor one time per week, based on your lifestyle and goals.
