Your First Visit
Intake Forms
Upon entering our office, Sarah will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our intake forms located in the New Practice Member Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your current health status. You may also do this before you come in to save time.
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Rick Brescia to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Rick Brescia to learn more about you, your health, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Rick Brescia will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your nervous system. Other standard postural and range of motion tests will be performed as well. We will use the latest technology to check the function of your nervous system using a computerized nervous system scanner. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
X-Ray Studies
Depending on your age, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective care plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal degeneration. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their subluxations and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Rick Brescia will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- What will my care cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Rick Brescia will discuss recommendations for care and notify you if your health issues require care with other providers. Dr. Rick Brescia will provide the best Chiropractic care and wellness program for your needs.
Chiropractic Care
At the conclusion of your Report of Findings, you can choose to experience your first adjustment. This will include spinal analysis, paplpation, and adjustments. Chiropractic care is interactive, you will be given things to do at home to aid in the maximization of you care.
At Home Care
Prior to leaving, Dr. Rick will suggest an at home program for you to do in conjunction with care in the office. This may include: icing instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized care plan. The purpose of our care here is to maximize your body's innate healing potential and allow your body and nervous system to function at an optimal level throughout your life.
